What is Rhyolite?
Rhyolite is an igneous, volcanic (extrusive) rock,
of felsic composition, with aphanitic to porphyritic texture.
Mineral assembly is usually quartz, alkali feldspar
and plagioclase (in a ratio > 1:2).
Biotite and pyroxene are common accessory minerals.
