The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."

Isaiah 29:13-14 (NIV)

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:26 (NIV)

Man and Woman in Iran sentenced to be... stoned

And the world yawns....

"The office of Showraye Tameen of Ghazvin province has issued the order to stone and man and a woman in public.

The judge of Branch 1 of the Criminal Court of Takistan will be present in person to throw the first stone. This was scheduled to be done on Sunday, June 17, but the Office of Showraye Tameen of Ghazvin province postponed it to Thursday, June 21.

Mokarrameh Ebrahimi is a 43 year old woman and mother of an 11 year old who has spent the past 11 years in Choubin prison in Ghazvin after being sentenced to stoning. The father of the child has also been in prison for 11 years and is scheduled to be stoned with her."

The barbarity of that regime....imagine them with a higher technology....Stoning for adultery...

Jose Maria Aznar makes sense

You know, it seems that the Spanish people made a very very poor decision to go with Zapatero...

Aznar acknowledges that the coziness of the Latin American Castroists and the Iranian Khomeinists.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.

Remember the "moderate" Khatami, he heartily congratulated Hamas in 2006

"Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami in a message on Monday congratulated the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas on behalf of the Assembly of Combatant Clerics (ACC) for its victory in the Palestinian parliamentary election."

From the dadadaddum Tehran Times

Such a reformer... I wonder if Msr Khatami is available for public speaking tours, like our former Presidents are. How much does he charge?

Assembly of Combatant Clerics? That's the party of "moderate, reformers"?

More about Combatant clerics at Michelle Malkin
Jimmy Carter... Father of the Islamic Revolution of Iran...

A Legacy....

"The truth is the entire nightmare can be traced back to the liberal democratic policies of the leftist Jimmy Carter, who created a firestorm that destabilized our greatest ally in the Muslim world, the shah of Iran, in favor of a religious fanatic, the ayatollah Khomeini.

Carter viewed Khomeini as more of a religious holy man in a grassroots revolution than a founding father of modern terrorism.

Carter's ambassador to the UN, Andrew Young, said "Khomeini will eventually be hailed as a saint."

Carter's Iranian ambassador, William Sullivan, said, "Khomeini is a Gandhi-like figure." Carter adviser James Bill proclaimed in a Newsweek interview on February 12, 1979 that Khomeini was not a mad mujahid, but a man of "impeccable integrity and honesty."

Uh ohhhh... Part II

The Islamic Republic complains....

"Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador to complain over Britain's decision to grant a knighthood to author Salman Rushdie, who was accused of blasphemy by Iran's former supreme leader for his book "The Satanic Verses," the state news agency reported Wednesday.

In the meeting, Iranian Foreign Ministry official Ebrahim Rahimpour told ambassador Jeffrey Adams that the decision was a "provocative act" that has angered Muslims."

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Matthew 24:42-44 (NIV)

Uh ohh.... Sir Rushdie causing a stir...

"This is an occasion for the [world's] 1.5 billion Muslims to look at the seriousness of this decision," Mohammed Ijaz ul-Haq, religious affairs minister, said in parliament.

"The West is accusing Muslims of extremism and terrorism. If someone exploded a bomb on his body, he would be right to do so unless the British government apologizes and withdraws the 'sir' title," Mr. ul-Haq said.

Looks like More of the same.. "The West is accusing us of extremism..... we'll kill you!" God help us all.

All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.

Episcopal "minister" is both Christian and Muslim....

"Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill.

On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest.

She does both, she says, because she's Christian and Muslim. Redding's bishop, the Rt. Rev. Vincent Warner, says he accepts Redding as an Episcopal priest and a Muslim, and that he finds the interfaith possibilities exciting."

Mark Steyn adds... "With the benefit of hindsight, it should have been obvious that the first female imam would be an Episcopalian..."

After a 2 month hiatus, it's time to start this blog up again. Look for daily posts.

Excuses that I have.... The new Blogger format including conflicts with my firewall which blocked Google several times. The new Picassa photo uploader, I miss Hello!

Enough of that, let the news from Piedmont MO begin again!

Oh yeah, Jo Ann Emerson is a weak congressperson!
When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work -- this is a gift of God.

Looks like a "marriage" in Nicaraugua

And it looks like only the Sr. Ortega's familia were invited! Seriously does it not look like Mr. Daniel and Mr. Mahmoud are about to tie the knot?

But it does look like the "union" of the Greens (Iranian Khomeinists and Latino Castroists) is definitely complete now! Wonder how the Iranian establishment will feel about this latest development and it follows that if I were Mahmoud... I'd keep it quiet!
