WFB R.I.P

I think this quote sums up the life of William F. Buckley quite well thank you...

"Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time, who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done, if we are always doing. And that you may be always doing good, my dear, is the ardent prayer of your affectionately."
--Thomas Jefferson

Thank you Bill Buckley....

Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.

Psalm 119:2 (NIV)
A Happy snowy morning to you from Clark's Mountain in Piedmont, MO. We have about 1 inch of fresh powder... unfortunately you can't ski slopes like this one....
The call to prayer to resound in South St. Louis???

A rather large minaret rises in south St. Louis... where's the ACLU on this one? Should all of us infidels be compelled to prayer through coercion from a giant tower?

Anyway... are there any churches in Saudi Arabia???.....

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18a (NIV)

How governing Islamists see exposed hair
Don't you love the middle dude (foreign minister)... he looks "enraptured" to say the least. Mahmoud Ahmadhimmitude looks just... well confused by her.

"Archbishop" of Canterbury declares his desire for Islamic law in Britain

You cannot make this stuff up.... self-imposed dhimmitude? Rowan Williams... you fool!

"The Archbishop of Canterbury caused consternation yesterday by calling for Islamic law to be recognised in Britain.
He declared that sharia and Parliamentary law should be given equal legal status so the people could choose which governs their lives. "

View looking east from Clark Mountain after 5" of snow. What a View. I love this place. The mountains of Missouri...
If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.

Deuteronomy 15:7-8 (NIV)
Turnout by county, Analysis map 11

To me this is a bigee, the Democrats really came out in rural Missouri. The Republicans need those voters in the fall, and they voted for Hillary (despite her "polarizing" nature)... so time to go to work. McCain.... arghhh... it will be hard to work for him....
Here's the GOP turnout by county, Analysis map 10

The mojo for the GOP wasn't there (turnout wise) except the stalwart Southwest Missouri and Limbaugh country.
Here's the relative turnout by the Democrat party, Analysis map 9

The Democrats definitely came out and in larger numbers, hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Here's how the GOP Candidates did by County, Analysis map 8

Much of the state was Huckabee country. Had to give McCain the "Blue" counties.... hehehe.
Counties that Clinton/Obama won, Analysis map 7

Looks almost like the 2004 map of Bush's victory in Missouri. Guess the blue-collar/union types are preferring Hillary. Goes to show how important Kansas City and St. Louis are to Dems.
Hillary Clinton results in Missouri, Analysis map 6

Obviously, Hillary won a lot of votes in "out-state" Missouri. Amazing, but she still lost the state. The bootheel loves Hillary!
Barack Obama results in Missouri, Analysis map 5

You can see Barack won the college counties (Boone, Nodaway) along with the Big cities. Not too popular in the southeast however, guess blue collar whites there aren't interested.
John McCain results in Missouri, Analysis map 4

Not really any spatial relationship that I see with McCain's win, pretty much just squeaking by outside of the Ozarks I guess. Looks like St. Louis likes McCain along with Iron country.
Mike Huckabee results in Missouri, Analysis map 3

Looks like Huck had Ozark luck. Missed out on Northwest Missouri and the St. Louis area, but that's about it. A solid Huckabee performance.
Mitt Romney results in Missouri, Analysis map 2

Looks like Mitt Romney finds a lot of support in Northwest and Western Missouri and in Limbaugh country (Cape G. County). Mitt definitely shows to be the urban conservative candidate (except Springfield). Looks like the National Review crowd (myself included) turned out for him.
Ron Paul results in Missouri, Analysis map I.

From yesterday's Missouri Prez primary. I wanted to see how Ron Paul affected the race. Looks like North-Central Missouri is Ron Paul country.
