But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Time to celebrate the enlightened... shoe?

Very strange, to be so passionate about one single smelly shoe. Maybe it's a relic of some sort.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Erdogan keeps showing his stripes... time to redefine "terror"

"President Obama must redefine terror and terrorist organizations in the Middle East, and based on this new definition, a new American policy must be deployed in the Middle East," Erdogan told the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Turkish leader appeared to be referring to the US position toward Hamas and Hizbullah, which the United States considers terrorist organizations"

Then the AP goes on to report this "news"

"As a secular Muslim country that belongs to NATO and is seeking membership in the European Union, Turkey has been a bridge to Hamas and Hizbullah."

Okay that comment makes a load of sense... A Secular Muslim country is a "bridge" the the avowed anti-secular parties of the Muslim Brotherhood Hamas and the Islamic Revolution Hizbullah.... that makes sense.. RATHER it is that the Islamist-Anti Secular AKP is more aligned with Hamas and Hizbullah than it is the West and has a natural brotherhood.

FOOLS!

Next up... disqualify bus bombings/suiciders as terrorist acts? You see it's really that terrorism perpetrated against Israeli Jews is not terrorism.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

Want truth? This is the truth about the Israelis, they practice true religion, by seeking peace when its there and helping even their enemies. Would this act of kindness had been reciprocated? Not likely.

Blago gets his man, and his horses in the Senate do his bidding

Remember Harry Reid saying "he'll never seat" a Blago appointment.  Well Durbin and Reid have served Blago well by driving his sleigh all the way to D.C.  Well done leadership. Ha!

"Palestine has burned! I will burn too!" Ulusan was quoted by the agency as shouting as he was taken to away by police.

He was rushed by police to a nearby hospital for treatment.

"From Imam Hussein to Barack Hussein"...

Look... I think it's stupid to throw around "Barack HUSSEIN Obama", he's a Christian okay. However it does present an interesting situation when the hardline Islamic Republic of Iran's official English rag Iran-Daily features an editorial headlined

"A great service will have been done to the cause of global peace and humanity if Barack Hussein also makes a reference to Imam Hussein and his value systems during his inauguration address."

"The world expects Barack Hussein to break his silence and support the oppressed. "

I thought his middle name was off limits?  Not to Iran-Daily.

Harry Reid = Real First Class Jerk

On so many levels.  Dude has diarrhea of the mouth and he's well just not nice.

Politico reports

“Norm Coleman will never ever serve [again] in the Senate,” Reid told Politico’s Manu Raju. “He lost the election. He can stall things, but he'll never serve in the Senate.”
Hear that.. .NEVER EVER NEVER EVER again.. So there!

So much for the vaunted decorum in the US Senate....
"Turkey" chooses sides

Or actually the Islamist government chooses sides.  The AKP is a disaster for Turkey and secularism in the Islamic world.  What's sad is that the west has coddled and exalted the "Justice and Development" party.

Editorial in the JPOST

Turkish President Abdullah Gul adds: "What Israel has done is nothing but atrocity."

Erdogan can find absolutely nothing wrong with anything Hamas has done since it grabbed power in Gaza.

Over the years, tens of thousands of people have been killed as the radical PKK pursues its campaign for autonomy from Turkey.

Turkey's "moderately Islamist" Prime Minister sees Israel's "self-destruction"

Okay Erdogan is the guy that foreign policy types like to refer to as "similar to the Christian Democrats/Socialists of Europe". Well guess what he had to say about Israel's war with Hamas... channeling Ahmadinejad here...

"perpetrating inhuman actions which would bring it to self-destruction. Allah will sooner or later punish those who transgress the rights of innocents"
