Nothing much, just a bunch of concentric circles in the sky.

I have seen this type of circle before, and wondered why it is like that. Obviously it is a contrail created by a high flying aircraft. The one that I saw was over San Diego County, in California. Then once on the news from Iraq I spotted one in the background. My specultion is that the military flys in circles for obversation purposes. To linger over a potential target but that is only a guess on my part. The two that I mention were just one circle each; not the multiple circles like your post.
Any ideas why they are like that?

Nice BLOG. Keep up the good work.

Hey Old Dude,

Thanks for commenting and visiting.

I recall 9-11 and all of the circular contrails in the sky. I assume they were from planes which had to turn around to land after being called down.
